Tutorial : DIY Marbled Acrylic Poured Coasters.

Acrylic dirty or one cup pour is probably one of my favorite (and messy) painting techniques. The kids love doing these projects too, not just because it's messy, but it's neat to see what the silicone and floetrol does to the paint. We love watching those cells form and how the paint flows onto our surface.

This year I had the idea of making these little paintings in coaster form for the kids teachers. I knew that I wanted something durable too. Now that I think of it, you could probably use a slice of wood or something else that is solid and is going to last.

DIY Kitchen & Dinning Room

we decided to take out the walls in our kitchen and dinning room, open up our space, and replace the flooring in our kitchen and dinning room.

This was no easy task with four children running around at the time either and Roman (our youngest) had just began walking at the start of this project too.

Needless to say, it took us a good year to decide on if we wanted to either leave the wood natural, stain them dark or paint them white.

Our house because it lacks a lot of natural light, we have used a very light and muted pallet. So there is lots of whites, creams and grays. I knew right off the bat that I didn't want to paint the new beams white.
