Recipe: Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Cookie Truffles

If you love Resse's pieces, cookies and chocolate, then you will want to make these supper yummy truffles! Truffles are a great way to combine all your favorites into a bit sie morsels.  I can't tell you how excited I am to share this recipe with all of you!

These truffles are very easy to make and a great little treat to bring to all those holiday functions you may be attending this year and the years to come. 


Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Cookid Truffles
Prep time: 45 min                 Yields: 45-50 truffles


Ingredients:
  • 2 packets of pre-packages Reese's Pieces Peanut butter cookie dough 
  • 3-6 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 bag of peanut butter chips
  • 1 bag of milk chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cook pre-packaged cookie dough for 14 minutes. Yields 24 cookies.
  2. Once cookies are done, set aside to cool down completely.
  3. Once cookies are completely cooled, in a large bowl crumble cookies by hand or with a food processor.
  4. Once cookies are completely crumbled, spoon in 6 tablespoons of cream cheese and kneed together.
  5. Once the cookies and cream cheese are completely combined, shape the mixture into small balls that are approximately 1 to 1 ½ inch in diameter.
  6. Place on a cookie sheet and into the freezer for about 15 minutes.
  7. In a small bowl combine peanut butter and milk chocolate chips, place into a microwave for intervals of 15 to 30 seconds or until completely melted, stiring between each interval.
  8. Remove cookie balls from freezer, using a fork, one at a time, dip and roll chilled cookie balls into the melted chocolate mixture.
  9. Return to the cookie sheet and add sprinkles and repeat the process for the remaining cookie balls. 
  10. Place into freezer or fridge for approximately 5 to 10 minutes or until chocolate shell is hardened.  
  11. Place and store truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
