Tutorial: DIY Glitter Trees

 Hey everyone!
So I love anything that glitters, specially during the holidays and today I'm going to show you all how to make these super cute and fun glitter trees.

Here's what you'll need for this project:

  • 2 Strofoam Cones in various sizes, you can get them here
  • Mod Podge
  • Glitter, your choice of colors,  I used two and did an ombre effect on mine
  • Paint brush
  • You will also need something to protect the surface of whatever you are working on, and if you're going to use two different colors, it's good to use two different stations so that you can reuse any glittler that has fallen away or didn't get used for this project.
  • You may also want a disposable cup or a large piece of cardboard to pour your mod podge onto.

Pour your Modpodge into a disposable cup or large piece of carboard and then take your paint brush and brush on the Modpodge onto the cone you can do large or small sections. I'm going to do an ombre effect on mine using two different colors, gold and red.

So I started at the bottom because that's where I wanted my gold to start and then transition into the red. I sprinkled on the gold fist and then let that dry for about thirty minutes. Once that was dry, I then came back and brushed on more modpodge ontop of the gold then very lightly sprinkled the red ontop of gold, this gave it that ombre effect that I was looking for.

Then I continued to brush on the Modpodge and sprinkle on the glitter until I got the whole cone covered in glitter. Let them dry over night and then you are done!
